Series 1 Episode 15 is the 15th episode of The Tribe.

Synopsis

Cloe is spotted in the forest and pursued by two Locos but is rescued by a strange girl. Zanda encourages Salene not to give up on Bray and if she really wants to be with him to do something about it.

Salene insists on going with Bray and Ryan to get water from the stream. When Lex later tells Trudy that Bray went off with Salene (making no mention of Ryan), Trudy confronts Amber accusing her of breaking them up.

Jack comes up with a security system for the mall's vulnerable sewer entrance but Bob the dog is their first capture. Returning to the mall with her new friend, Tai San, Cloe tells the others she took Bluebell to where she'd be safe, a statement that leaves Lex with questions to answer.

Salene apologises to Trudy and tells her she won't interfere with her and Bray anymore but when she later tries to apologise to Bray, he tells her he's not interested in Trudy and kisses her. They are witnessed by Trudy. Tai San encourages the kids to name their tribe and Lex comes up with the Rats — the Mall Rats.

Trivia

• First appearance of Tai San. She would become a core member of the Mall Rats starting with this episode. According to draft scripts released in the book Keeping the Dream Alive, Tai San was originally supposed to appear in the first episode but it was changed for unknown reasons.
• The group officially calls themselves the Mall Rats from this episode onward.
• This episode marks the first time the Mall Rats would form a circle by joining hands, which will become a regular occurrence for the reminder of the show.
• Amber has a new hairstyle with blue feathers at Cloe's welcome home party, but it is only seen in this episode. Zandra, Trudy and Salene also have additional face markings at the party.
