Top Hat is the leader of Tribe Circus, which ran a Casino. He is a pyromaniac (meaning he likes to play with fire).
History[]
Series 1[]
When KC is caught with a pig and batteries at the Gambling Den, Top Hat forces him to reveal the location of his tribe as he wants to raid for more of their items. Top Hat directs an attack on the Mall and a battle ensues. After defeating the Mall Rats he tries to rape Zandra, but luckily KC stops him.
After raiding the Mall, he traps the Mall Rats in the gate enclosure. He sets fire to the Mall and him and his circus leave them to die. Luckily, Lex and Ebony saves them.
After learning of Top Hat's attempted rape on Zandra, both Lex and Ryan pay Top Hat a visit while the Mall Rats journey to Eagle Mountain. They return riding his motorbike and Lex boasts about how he stole his headgear.
Series 2[]
Secretly returning to the Mall at night, Top Hat reappears with the virus. He is as crazy as ever, yelling at the Mall Rats, saying he wants his hat back. He is knocked unconscious by KC but runs out and escapes once he comes round. He presumably dies not long after as he is never seen again.

Trivia[]
- Top Hat's actor Sam Husson revealed that in preparation for the role, he drew inspiration from a character called Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange by Stanley Kubrick. [1] Top Hat and Alex DeLarge resemble each other in certain degrees.
- He is the only non-recurring villain in the series.
- Top Hat's fate is never directly confirmed on the show as it was not mentioned if he had fallen victim to the virus. Tribe Circus were mentioned to be abducted by The Chosen later in Series 2, giving a small chance he might have survived. But even if he did, it's not known if he and his tribe survived the Techno invasion.
- Top Hat was voted by fans as 7th Greatest Villain in a 2015 poll. [2]
- Top Hat is seen as one of the characters in Paul's reality space in The Tribe: Reunion manga.
