"What's life without a little danger?" - Dee

Dee was originally a Mosquito and later a Mall Rat.

When the Technos captured her leader Moz and most of her tribe, she is rescued by Jack and Ellie, soon becoming a Mall Rat.

Having been apart of Lex's city deputies, she continues being by his side to break up trouble in the streets. Dee briefly has feelings for Lex, but soon falls for the awkward Patch after much hesitance in admitting their feelings to each other.

After helping in defeating the Technos, Dee and Patch leave the City in search of a new life.

Personality[]

Before the Technos, Dee was deputy to Moz’s in the Mosquito Tribe. Fate brings her to the Mall Rats. Dee sincerely wants the city to be peaceful and prosperous once more and will do all she can to achieve this.

She will protect her own family tribe from danger and is courageous. Dee has a sense of humour which sometimes results in witty comments – other times, in sarcasm. She does not aspire to ever lead and is happy to be “one of the gang”.

She hopes to meet “Mr Right” one day but in the meantime is quite suspicious and cynical about men – but who knows what fate has in store for her?

History[]

Series 4[]

Ellie Jack rescue Dee S4

Dee being rescued by Jack and Ellie

As she and the Mosquitos think that the invading technos are really the adults coming back they go to see them, her tribe are systematically attacked and rounded up by the The Technos. Dee is the only one left after she is found injured by Jack and Ellie and brought back to the Mall.

Dee becomes an ally with the Mall Rats and takes up the position of Lex's deputy. Dee keeps the peace in the city by breaking up fights in the streets and trying to get people to stop using reality space. She is well known and respected amongst the traders so they tend to listen to her when she talks. Though it feels like she has an obvious attraction to Lex, the two will only remain friends, as the rogue has his eyes set on Siva.

When Patch joins the Mall Rats, it is evident he and Dee have something between them, but it takes them both a while to get with the program and admit their feelings for one another. Their different natures mean that they don’t express this attraction to one another for some time. Eventually Patch and Dee do get their act together and become a couple just before the Mall Rats launch an attack on the Technos.

Series 5[]

After helping to defeat the Technos, Amber finds a note left behind by Dee and Patch in the Cafe which reads as:

"It's so great that you guys have a whole new start, I know you'll make the best of it and I'm only sorry we won't be there to share it with you. I didn't want to run off like this, but Patch hates goodbyes. Thanks for everything! - Love Dee" [1]

It's presumed they left to start a new life elsewhere and find Patch's missing brothers.

  • Although the Mozzies featured in Series 3 as part of Lex's deputies, Dee wasn't introduced into the show until Series 4, when she takes the place of Moz as the spokeswoman for that tribe.
